Startups your should watch in 2008

Wondering what startups are going to be the ones to watch in 2008?   Look no further than Wired Magazine’s annual list.

Of course, Wired’s  list are technology based companies, but it is pretty interesting:

1. 23andMe

2. 37Signals

3. AdMob

4. BitTorrent

5. Dash

6. Fon

7. LinkedIn

8. Powerset

9. Slide

10. Spock

But maybe the most interesting aspect of the story, which is just a little blip, is that what they feel can make such businesses valuable is not IPO value, but the value Google may see from it.  Apparently, many tech companies are looking to the end with a Google buyout in mind.
